What do you do at Brooklife?

I lead a house group with my wife, Pam. Our House Group gets involved in a number of things, including Midnight Magic and takedown after services.

Additionally, I very much enjoy being part of the connections team (greeting and ushering) and I do that with my son, Garrett.

What is your favorite thing about Brooklife?

My favorite thing about Brooklife is how we can just be real here. I like that most of the “pomp and circumstance” that has become commonplace in religion today is not present at Brooklife. Brooklife’s focus is on the Word of God in the Bible and how to apply those to our lives. It is not about traditions, extra rules, or what other people think we should believe.

My second favorite thing about Brooklife is that it is not a church that is above working with other churches or above addressing community issues. We realize that we are only a small part of God’s Church and as such feel that we should come along other churches to spread the Gospel and address the needs of the community.

Family?

Married in September of 2000 to Pam Schindler. We have one boy and three girls - Garrett, Kayla, Lauren, and Brooke.

What do you do for fun?

We like to hang out as a family for fun. One thing we very much like to do is go on vacations, which range from camping, to going to watch Packer Training Camp, to going to Disney World.

When I get a chance I really like to go snorkeling/scuba diving, but with our young family those opportunities don’t come along very often right now.

What do you do for a living?

I work for IKON which is a Ricoh Company. I’m in major account sales. Ricoh sells copiers, printers, digital presses and the various software that goes along with them. I’ve been there since June of 2008.
