Our Vision: People
In 2009 we launched imagine, a faith journey to raise the needed funds for our first multi-purpose facility for Brooklife Church. Our desire is that this facility would be a resource to the community and people around us. This is not about us building a big building for ourselves. In fact, we dream of this facility serving as a community center. It is about us reaching and serving more people in this region. It will always be about the people!
Some people have asked, "Why now?" Here are a few reasons...
Our mission demands it
Our mission statement for Brooklife Church is, “becoming a community of high-impact followers of Christ.” We believe that even though we are ordinary people, God wants us to do extraordinary things. He actually wants us to change the world. As such, we must do whatever it takes to reach those around us.
Our situation dictates it
We have seen tremendous growth at Brooklife over the last year, with approximately 500-600 people attending each week (and 130-150 of those are kids!). Given this rapid growth, we have put tremendous pressure on the school building, and added a tremendous work load for school district employees. As such, part of our agreement with the Mukwonago school district is that we would aggressively pursue a permanent facility for our church. The school district has been very gracious to us in allowing us to meet at Clarendon, and we plan to honor this request.
Our community needs it
Over the two years, one thing has become abundantly clear: the Mukwonago area is longing for another church to reach out in relevant ways to the community. While we are doing that already, we believe that a new facility that practically serves the community throughout the week (not just on Sundays!) will help change the lives of numerous people.
Our God expects it
In Proverbs it says, “without vision, the people perish”. God is a God of vision, always wanting us to reach more and more people with life-changing message that he offers.
