Brian Hofmeister, Pastor of House Groups and Operations
What do you do at Brooklife?
I work primarily with house groups and operations. With house groups, I love facilitating connections between people and grow environments where people can “do life together” in their pursuit of Jesus. On the operations end, I develop the infrastructure, budget, facility, and other administrative needs.
What is your favorite thing about Brooklife?
I love that Brooklife has realized and capitalized on its potential, but still has the best yet to come! The anticipation of God working in big ways among us always stays high.
Family?
I married Melissa in 2001, and have since had three beautiful boys – Creighton, Blake, and Cole.
What do you do for fun?
Simple dates with my wife are my favorite – coffee shops, walks in the neighborhood, a nice park bench to sit and talk. I very much enjoy visual arts, galleries, and developing my own talents as an oil painter.
Any real credentials?
I achieved my Bachelors from the University of Wisconsin Platteville and Master of Divinity from Columbia International University. Previous to Brooklife, I served as Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Christ’s Church of the Capital District, Albany, NY, and as Resident Pastor of 20-Something Ministry at Elmbrook Church, Brookfield, WI. I also have three feet of surgical scars – which builds plenty of character.
