It is truly a pleasure to be the staff accountant at Brooklife, handling all the financial tasks of the church. My responsibilities include assisting the staff in understanding their budget responsibilities, and providing the financial information that guides the staff and elders in their decisions. Recently, I have taken on the role of human resources.
What is your favorite thing about Brooklife?
Definitely the people. Brooklife is filled with committed believers of Jesus Christ. I am so excited to be part of this family. They want to make a difference and allow the spirit to work through them. I feel at home here at Brooklife Church.
Family?
I married my high school sweetheart, Mark, in 1978. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters and one fantastic son in law. Stephanie, our oldest, is part of Metrobrook, and Scott and Kristina are serving here at Brooklife. And I cannot forget to mention our two little boys, Frodo and Sam, our cats.
What do you do for fun?
Mark and I love to camp, hike and explore all the ATV trails in Wisconsin. I love to read whenever I get the chance and spending time with family and friends is high on our list.
Any real Credentials?
I have worked in the accounting field most of my life, the last ten years in the CPA world. My job involved training small business owners on how to prepare their own books. My firm partnered with another firm that specialized in nonprofit, which opened up opportunities for me to learn nonprofit accounting. I retired from public accounting in February of 2010 to come on staff with Brooklife.
