Announcements for the week of August 1, 2010
Welcome Brian Hofmeister, Pastor of Groups and Operations! Today we welcome Brian and Melissa Hofmeister to Brooklife. Brian will be overseeing all of our adult ministries, including house groups. In addition, he will be in charge of our church operations (finance, administration, etc). Prior to this, Brian served as Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Operations at Christ Church of the Capital District in Albany, New York. Brian grew up in Muskego, and worked with Jason at Elmbrook Church in the 20-something ministry before moving to New York. Brian and Melissa have three small children: Creighton (5), Blake (2), and Cole (3 months).
Upcoming Events
Baptism Service and Church Picnic is next week! Sunday, August 8 at 10AM at Phantom Ranch Bible Camp. Join us for a worship service and baptism followed by lunch and afternoon activities including softball and swimming. What to Bring: A-H: Side Dish, I-O: Desserts, P-Z: Canned or Bottled Drinks. Food can be dropped off before the service in the dining hall. Refrigerators are available if needed. There will be no regular services at Clarendon Elementary on August 8.
Do you want to be baptized? Its not too late! We will be having our annual baptism service at Phantom Ranch next Sunday, August 8th. Please contact Heather Webb if you are interested.
Serving

Set Up and Take Down We are in need of 4 volunteers to set up for church on Sunday mornings, and 7 volunteers for take down after services. Set up is from 7am until 8:15am and take down is from 11:45am until about 12:30pm. Please contact Sarah at 262-470-3462 or by email.

Women: Refresh in the Park! Join us Tuesday from 9:30-11:30am at Field Park at the corner of NN & 83. Let your kids play or come by yourself. A short devotional will be shared. Invite your friends!
Kids / Club 56
Club 56 “Club Bash” Come celebrate with us at our End of Summer Party August 21 at Mukwonago Park, noon – 4pm, cost is $5. Pick up a flyer in the Club 56 classroom.
Students
Dash Middle School Ministry
Will not be meeting tonight. We will resume August 15 at Phantom Ranch from 3-5pm. We will be starting our SuperHero series.
Dash is going rafting Join us for a rafting trip on the Wolf River, August 12-14. Cost is $159. Pick up a flyer at the info table. Sign-up and payment are due August 8.
Status High School Ministry Will not be meeting tonight. We will resume on August 8 Phantom Ranch at 7pm. We are starting our new series Justice League.
Status is going to Noah’s Ark Status Noah’s Ark trip will be on August 4. Forms available on the info table. Permission slip and payment are due August 2.
Status Corn Roast/Pool Party We’ll be meeting at Quakkelaars’ house on August 15 for a fun evening. Their address is S67W29060 S Ridge Pass Mukwonago, WI 53149-9026 from 7-9 pm.
