Brooklife Church summer camps are high-energy, fast-paced, fun environments for kids. Camp Venture is our option for older kids going into 2nd through 6th grade in the fall. New this year!! Junior Venture is an option for kids 4 years old through those entering 1st grade in the fall. Both programs run daily Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:30pm. Extended care is available daily from 7am until camp starts and after camp until 5:30pm. Each week is special and exciting because kids can choose their own activities. So register for one, two or all eight weeks. We would love to see your kid at camp!

Join us this summer for… A CAMP BEFORE TIME

This summer, camp is taking a trip back in time… actually before time. A time long, long, LONG ago in a land far away when dinosaurs roamed free and traipsed through the tall grass in the shadow of Mount Spurt. Dangerously distressed Dex and sleepy supersaurus A. Rawra need to get back the Dino Diamond before Terry, the terrible pterodactyl, drops it in the volcano, and it is lost forever.

Join A. Rawra and Dex as they bravely face their archenemy Terry. While Terry may have a wing up on them, the dynamic dino duo are not to be underestimated.

Camp Hours & Extended Care

Official Camp Day: Begins at 9:00am & ends at 3:30pm

Extended Care: Brooklife’s Summer Camp has a program that provides a fun, safe environment just for kids who need to arrive early or stay late. Our awesome extended care staff will watch your child(ren) from 7:00am-9:00am and after camp dismisses from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Extended Care is available, if needed, every day of camp. The cost is $5 per child, per session they attend ($10/day per child if your child attends both morning and afternoon sessions.)

You do not need to pre-register for extended care. Our registration system adds the extended care cost to your online camp account when your kids are checked into extended care. Extended care fees need to be paid in full by Friday of each camp week.

Late Drop Off & Early Pick Up

For late drop off or early pick up, please go to the camp office. If you know you are picking up early please fill out one of our early pick up forms when your child arrives for the day.

Note: Junior Venture and Camp Venture are full week (5-day) programs only. If a camper attends fewer days than the full 5-day week, there will be no refund, credit or discount. We understand that there are so many fun things for your child to do in the summer, and we completely understand if they only attend a couple days during the week. However, we still require payment for a full week of camp.

Cancellation Policy

NEW! Our Cancellation and Refund policy has changed. Please read over these updates carefully.

Cancellations & Changing Your Registration
Great news! You can request a cancellation right from your account. Simply log in and go to “my registrations”. Next to the week you would like to cancel, click “request cancellation”.

To switch weeks of camp, please e-mail us.  Do not request a cancellation, as there is no fee for changing weeks. Our registrar will make the switch if there is space available in the week you are requesting.

To switch activity groups within the same week of camp, please e-mail us. We will notify you if there is space in the activity group you desire.

All refunds will be paid, less the deposit, that has been made to your account.

  • Refunds will be issued if the following criteria are met:
    • The cancellation is requested by the Thursday prior to the week of camp you are cancelling.
    • Sickness:  If a child is ill the week they are to attend camp, a transfer of registration can be made without penalty as long as there is space available to complete the transfer. If there is no space available, a full refund minus your deposit will be processed.
  • Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
    • Cancellation was requested after the Thursday prior to the week camp.
    • Parent choice: A day of rest, family trip, sports events, etc.
    • Discipline: A day requested by the Camp Director so that behavior problems may be dealt with. Physical violence will result in a child going home. After discussion with a parent, this may result in the child being asked to take one or more days off from camp.

When a refund is granted, your funds will be returned to you within two weeks of the cancellation in the original form of payment.

Camp Lunch

Each day, kids will need to bring a nutritionally balanced, bag lunch with a beverage. There is no refrigeration available for lunches brought from home. Water and lemonade will be available. On our famous Hot Dog Thursdays, we provide a FREE special hot dog lunch for all campers. Please feel free to send your child with a different lunch on Thursdays, especially if they have any dietary or other preferences that would prevent them from enjoying the provided lunch.

Behavior Guidelines

It is our desire that every camper and volunteer have the very best experience here at camp!  In order to maintain a safe and fun environment for everyone, all campers & volunteers are expected to:

  • Listen to and follow directions from all staff.
  • Follow safety guidelines.  Stay with your leaders at all times.  Ask permission to use the restroom or to get a drink.  Do not run away from camp staff.
  • Respect themselves, others, and their environment.  Clean up after yourself.  No disrespectful or inappropriate language.  Respect camp property.  No teasing, fighting, or hitting.

When a camper or volunteer shows behavior that violates these guidelines, they can expect the following to result:

  • Staff will first redirect behavior/remind camper of the rules.
  • For continued disruptive behavior, supervised time away from the group activity may be appropriate as a cool-down period. Parent may be contacted for further conversation.
  • Referral to Camp Director. Campers will be sent home for physical violence or consistent behavior concerns and may be asked by the Camp Director to take additional days off from camp.

If your camper or volunteer has special needs, an emotional/behavioral disorder, or an IEP at school, please include this information in your registration. Please let us know how we can best help your child have a successful summer with us.  A Camp Director or the Kidlife Pastor may further connect with you so we can be helpful in continuing the school year successes you have had throughout the summer!

Junior Venture Families:  Though we do provide quiet time following lunch at Junior Venture (such as a short movie or stories), we do not provide a nap time for our youngest campers.  We also ask that all campers attending Junior Venture be fully potty trained before registering for camp.  All campers must be age 4 to attend.

Medical Information

We have a Camp Nurse onsite daily from 9am-3:30pm to help care for all medical needs of our campers, including medications.  It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the staff of a child’s specific needs and supply all that is needed for their child’s doctor-prescribed medication. This includes instructions and an ample supply of medication. These tasks are entirely the responsibility of the parent and must be communicated at the beginning of each week the child attends camp. Any remaining medication must be picked up by the parent each Friday. Parents will supply instructions and written permission for the staff to follow.

Our leaders are made known of any allergies your kids may have and are first aid trained. Please make sure you list all allergies with your child’s registration.
Nut allergies: Please note that our building is not nut-free.

Illness & Injury
If your child gets sick at camp, the Camp Nurse will contact you at the number(s) you have provided in your registration.

Any injuries that happen at camp will be addressed by the Camp Nurse.  Minor bumps & bruises will be treated onsite.  For more serious injuries, including all head injuries, the Camp Nurse will contact you at the number(s) you have provided in your registration. Please keep us informed of any changes in your emergency contact information.

If your child is sick and will be missing a day of camp, you do not need to notify us. For an illness that will force your child to miss multiple days of camp, please email the Camp Registrar.

Heat Index
We have water stations available to campers at all times. We also carefully monitor the heat index.  If the heat index reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit or above, all children will be brought indoors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my child does not get into the activity she wants?
If the activity group that your child wants is full, you can choose to put them on a waitlist.  Below is some helpful information about how our waitlist works for both Junior Venture and Camp Venture.  It is highly recommended that you choose an alternate activity first and then go back and add your child to the waitlist. This will ensure your child will have a spot in camp.

When you are at the top of the wait list and a spot opens up, we will contact you to move your child into that activity.

We don’t have the capacity to add spots to enlarge our camp. In order to receive a spot, you must wait for someone else to cancel. Cancellations happen all the way up to a few days before the camp week begins and wait list moves can happen at any time.  Although, we are typically able to move the first few kids off each waitlist into camp, some children may not receive a spot from our waitlist.

What should my child wear to camp?
Kids should dress comfortably for the weather. Shoes with backs are strongly recommended because kids will be running around. We do not recommend sending your child in flip flops. Sometimes camp is messy, especially camps with arts & crafts or cooking themes.  It’s a good idea to leave your best clothes at home, and wear things that can get messy. If additional clothing is needed for a dress-up day or water day, an e-mail will be sent home to you.

Kids are outside most days.  We recommend that you apply sunscreen before your child arrives at camp. We do not apply sunscreen to the kids unless specifically directed by a parent. If your child has allergies to certain sunscreens, please send your child with a separate bottle, labeled with your child’s name. The sunscreen will be stored in the nurse’s office.

What should my child bring to camp?
For most activities, there is no required equipment.  The Brooklife campus is a big place and our lost & found grows very large every summer. We tell our kids if you don’t absolutely need it, leave it at home!  We are not responsible for any lost or damaged items that are brought to camp. Water stations are available all day.  Please leave all technology safely at home.  We will ask campers and volunteers that phones remain out of sight, if needed, during camp.  If you need to contact your child during the camp day, please call the Camp Registrar at 262-378-4470, and we will help get information to them.

Remember to provide a lunch from home each day, except for Thursday which is our free hot dog day! There is no refrigeration available, so please include ice packs in your lunch box.

Can I sign my child up for a partial week?
Junior Venture and Camp Venture are full week (5-day) programs only. If a camper attends fewer days than the full 5-day week, there will be no refund, credit or discount. We understand that there are so many fun things for your child to do in the summer, and we completely understand if they only attend a couple days during the week. However, we still require payment for a full week of camp.

Are Scholarships or Payment Plans available?
At Junior Venture & Camp Venture, we don’t want cost to keep kids from experiencing camp. Scholarships and payment plans are available upon request. Please contact the Camp Registrar for further details and how to apply.

NEW!! Junior Venture is brand new this year at Brooklife Church. Junior Venture is a high-energy camp designed for kids 4 years old to those entering 1st grade in the fall.
We are a faith-based, all-day program, held weekdays from 9am to 3:30pm. Each day, we will gather for Bible stories, games, large group worship and fun!

Typical Day at Junior Venture
Junior Venture check-in begins at 9:00am.  During check-in, kids will have free time to play and can choose from many different activities. After check-in, we gather the kids for our all camp cheer and quest of the day to earn the ever popular snow cone points! From there, the kids break into their activity groups for themed activities and outdoor time.  Our high-energy, large group includes worship, Bible stories and puppets!  Afterwards, kids will move into small groups and have a bathroom break before lunch. After lunch and some free-time play (like recess), the kids will have quiet time. Quiet time is followed by additional time in their activity groups.

Build It

Can we build it? YES, WE CAN! Every day, kids will be working to build houses, skyscrapers and towers out of any and every material imaginable. Does your child like Legos, Mega Blocks and construction sets? Then they will love build it, where every day something new is built.

(NEW!) Hands On

Ready, Set… MOVE! Let’s face it: kids love to move. They are always running, jumping and playing. This camp is designed to allow kids to move in all the ways they love. Each day, kids will explore moving in different ways from active tag games to obstacle courses and more.

Slime & Grime

What do you get when you combine one part science and two parts imagination, sprinkle in some household knowledge and a little dirt? Some excitingly unusual activities, games and experiments that are sure to capture your child’s attention and make you say WOW! There is nothing clean about this camp, so make sure to send your child in clothes that can get dirty for this slimey and grimey week!

Up, up, and away to the land of Junior Venture where your child will soar to discover their inner superhero! Every day will include wild adventures as kids design their own superheroes and take tests to discover the type of hero they really are. This week of super-fun is perfect for all.

Twist & Spin

Plié, plié, jump & rock out. Twist & Spin is a brand new camp where kids can dance and tumble their way through the week. Each day will have some basic tumbles as well as fun new group dances the kids can learn together. If your child loves music and moving, then Twist & Spin will be a perfect match.

We Bought a Zoo

This summer, Junior Venture bought a zoo and your child is invited to come see the wildlife! Kids will explore all things animals in this activity and will even have the chance to try to become their favorite animal at our Junior Venture zoo.

Camp Venture is a high-energy, fast-paced, fun environment for kids entering 2nd through 6th grade in the fall.
We are a faith-based, all-day program, held weekdays from 9am to 3:30pm. Each day, we will gather for Bible stories, games, large group worship and fun!

Each morning the kids will compete in all-camp games for snow cone points. After the game is finished, kids are dismissed to their activity groups for the rest of the morning. At noon, all kids gather for lunch. After lunch, kids are brought inside for worship, puppets, and large group teaching. We are a Christian camp and during this time, we worship God and learn from the Bible. Next, kids break up into small groups to talk about the large group time. After small group, the children spend the rest of the afternoon in their activity groups. Around 3:15pm, we gather all of the kids together to wrap up the day. Fridays are special because at 3:00pm we have a parent show to demonstrate our cheers that explain all the fun things we did during the week.
