Global Outreach

At Brooklife, we believe that our impact must be both local and global. As a result, we are developing strategic international partners around the world that are serving in areas where the name of Jesus is unknown, where the church is underrepresented, and where there is intense suffering.

We have two exciting opportunities for you! Below are high level details, with more to come. If you are interested in more information on either trip, please email Rob as soon as possible. You will not only bless others, but it can be life-changing for you as well.

Accra, Ghana (West African Mercy Ministries)
Tentative Dates: July 10-20
Trip Goals:

  • To engage participants in extending Christ’s mercy to children who are sick or disabled
  • To expose participants to life as a missionary in a developing country
  • To excite participants with what God is doing in Ghana and in the world
  • To exalt Jesus through God-pleasing worship

Possible Trip Activities:

  • Assisting staff in caring for the children of House of Mercy (HOMe)
  • Building and grounds work at the new property for HOMe (light construction or landscape work)
  • Assisting with ministry in “Yam Market” refugee camp (Bible lessons for children aged 4-18 years)
  • Visiting and encouraging our church plant in Nsawamo
  • General sightseeing

Preliminary Cost:  $3,000 (depending on airfare, housing, in-country transportation, etc.)

Nairobi, Kenya (Kijani Farm)
Tentative Dates: June 11-24
Trip Goal:

  • Make Kijani Farms financially self-sustaining
  • Plug in with the people in the community

Possible Trip Activities:

  • Build/assemble a greenhouse and get it ready for the planting trees
  • Start a rabbit farm venture. There is a big market for rabbit meat in Kenya and our investment is very low. We would be building the rabbit habitats and getting ready to move the little bunnies in.
  • Help implement Water Day. We were recently blessed with a community water tank. Beyond giving out water, we want water day to become a place were ministry happens in simple and tangible ways, with buckets for kids to bath, a place where clothes can be mended, and just a place to have fun.

Preliminary Cost: $3,450

Job Position

“A place for EVERYONE to pursue God-given purpose”

It’s a short statement that captures a sweeping vision for what we want to accomplish as a community. Brooklife Short-Term Trips are one way that we accomplish this mission. On a short-term trip, we hope that you will learn about God’s work and God’s people around the world. We hope that you will be stretched to serve and use your gifts in new ways and in a different context. We hope that you will develop a global perspective of God’s kingdom and that this trip will be a first step in even greater involvement in global outreach.

You are potentially launching into a life-changing experience. Short-term trips are difficult, challenging, exhilarating, humbling, awe-inspiring, memorable, community building, norm defying, culture shifting, and faith building. Through a trip, you will become more aware of aspects of God that, up to now, have been hidden from you. You will become more aware of who you are and perhaps some of your own brokenness. You will become more aware of the amazing diversity that God has designed and which reflects Him. You will become more aware of the desperate need for God’s Kingdom throughout the world and the amazing faith and giftedness of some unique ministry leaders Brooklife is partnering with around the world.
