Have you ever noticed that some people seem to naturally be compassionate while others have a little harder time being compassionate. What is it that makes some people more compassionate than others? This Sunday, as we work our way through Ruth Chapter 3, we are going to learn some principles about compassion from the life of a man named Boaz. We will talk about how when we keep these principles in the forefront of our minds, we can all live the outrageously compassionate life God has called us to.

Group Discussion Questions

  • Who knows you really well? What three words would they use to describe you?
  • Share a time in your life when someone showed outrageous compassion towards you.
  • To whom in your life do you need to be compassionate? What battle do you think they are fighting?
  • Imagine the conversation among your family as they clean your belongings out of your house one day. What do you want them to say about how you spent your possessions and money?  What do you hope they don’t say? What can you do now to lay a foundation for the kind of legacy you want to leave?
