Jesus asks the question, “Who do you say I am?” Well, we can learn who He says He is from the Bible, but you have to decide if you buy it. This Sunday, I’ll be talking about Jesus’ consistency. He says He’s always the same, inflexible. We’ve been taught that isn’t a very good approach to life, but I want to show you it’s one of the most important traits you want to have in your God!

Small Group Questions

  • Have you ever gotten lost? How did it happen? How did it feel? Have you ever felt that way about your life? How did you eventually find your way?
  • Please read Hebrews 2:1-3a. What stories come to mind when you think about the Old Testament or the first part of the Bible? Take some time to talk through some of the stories of the Old Testament. What are the morals of those historical accounts? What do we learn about God from them?
  • God is consistent. How do you see that playing out throughout the Bible? Many think that God should adapt to them. Why? Why is that not consistent with what we know of the God of the Bible?
  • To truly embrace Jesus, you must embrace Him for Who He is, not Who we want Him to be. Which parts of Jesus are the easiest for you to embrace? Why? Which parts of Jesus are the hardest for you to embrace? Why? What is your next step in defining who Jesus is in your life?
