Kidlife

A Place For Every Kid

Kidlife means exciting environments for every kid from birth to 5th grade, lovingly created with them in mind.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What To Expect

We partner with parents so that kids may KNOW Who God is, GROW in their faith, SHOW others God’s love, and GO spread the Gospel.

Nursery and Two’s - We believe that, even at a very young age, children have the potential to begin understanding basic concepts about God. Through Biblical based stories, lessons are planned so that children can learn that God loves me, God made me, this is my church and Jesus wants to be my forever friend.

Preschool - Excitement and joy characterize the kids and adults you will find in our preschool area. We invite your child to join us and begin their journey of knowing Jesus and becoming more like Him. We strive to make the people, stories and principles of the Bible captivate the attention of preschool kids through the use of music, drama, puppets and storytelling. Children are grouped by age. Instruction is given in combinations of large and small group settings. Our preschool kids also spend time connecting with others during snack times, playing in activity stations, making crafts and prayer.

K-5th Grade - Elementary-aged children are at a critical stage of life. We know these years provide an opportunity to help children gain a solid foundation for their future direction. We believe our grade school students can have an active and living faith. We believe that God has created each of them uniquely with specific abilities and personalities. Our focus is on helping them commit all of their lives – spirit, soul, and body – to the Lord. Children participate in grade level groups with instructions and activities conducted in large and small group settings. An emphasis is placed on children building relationships with youth and adults that will facilitate spiritual growth. Music, group games, video and dynamic live presentations are some of the elements included in the grade school services.

All team members complete an application and background check, provide references, complete training and wear a nametag. We have a secured check-in/release process as well as a strict two-person rule and bathroom policy. We provide gluten-free snacks, but we do keep track of your child’s allergies.

In an effort to ensure we have enough volunteers on Sunday, we do ask parents to register their children for Kidlife each week. Registration opens each Tuesday and closes Saturday at midnight. If you forget to register or a class is full, we will do what we can to place your child into a class. If you are new and are checking your kids into Kidlife, we would love to know you are joining us.

Plan Your FIRST Visit

We will make every attempt to help your child acclimate to Kidlife, but if they just aren’t doing well, we will alert you in the service. Your child’s unique code and room name will appear on the screens in the Auditorium. You are welcome to watch the rest of the service in our Wiggle Room or the Café if needed, and we would love for you to try again!

4th and 5th Graders- Join us for Fun•Friends•Faith on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm! These nights will be fun, engaging, and an opportunity to dive into God’s word a little bit deeper than they would on a Sunday morning...all with their friends both old and new!
Enter through The Landing which is on the back right side of the building. Look for the blue awning.

What is communion? What happens at communion? We hope that kids understand the sacrifice Jesus made on their behalf before participating in communion. In our efforts to support parents/guardians as spiritual leaders in their homes, we have created a conversation guide for you to use with your child to determine if they are ready. It is our honor to come alongside you as the child in your life encounters God and takes the next step in their spiritual journey. Please email us if you would like more information.

Baptizing infants in the church has been going on for centuries. Some do this as a symbolic act of showing that the child is a member of God's family because the parents are members of the church. Others do it because they believe it is a means of gaining grace and helping one gain entrance into the kingdom of God. We do not baptize infants because it is not consistent with what we believe the Bible teaches about baptism. Each child is different, but typically, children are ready to take the next faith step of Baptism in elementary school.

Brooklife practices Child Dedication, which is a public commitment you make before God, your church and your family. The dedication service provides you, the parent(s), an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others. Child Dedications are held twice a year during adult worship services with a parent class prior.

If you would have any questions about Baptism or Child Dedication or would like more information or upcoming dates, please email us.

Our curriculum videos are available online to watch with your kids at any time during the week.
